Login (WAYF) Pages
LibLynx login pages (also known as “where are you from” or WAYF pages), including the secondary pages that present institutional and individual access methods, are currently designed to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA. These pages are also aligned with SeamlessAccess best practices for accessibility and were developed using WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation) tools, as well as tested with screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Given this commitment, we present the current known exceptions to the WCAG 2.1 AA standards and the development planned to address these gaps. Our roadmap includes the following initiatives:
- Keyboard controls
- When deleting an institution, the ‘done’ button has no visual focus change
- When deleting an individual login, the ‘done’ button has no visual focus change
- Screen reader compatibility
- When choosing a previous individual login, the anchor tag has nothing a screen reader can use effectively to describe the link
- Accessibility audits are pending for the following services:
- Self-registration WAY (who are you) pages
Additionally, we are committed to an annual review of our product development practices against accessibility standards and best practices.
