We’re delighted to welcome Dmytro Kovalenko to the growing LibLynx team, as our new Product Engineer!
We’re very focused on engineering out friction in our processes in order to continue to scale our services. A key area is enabling clients to self-manage their service down to very granular levels – for example, being able to explore historical authentication events in order to troubleshoot issues or understand trends. Dmytro’s interest and experience in developing new product features makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
And here are some thoughts from Dmytro on his background, joining our team and what he’s hoping to achieve.
Tell us a bit about yourself!
I’m a Ukrainian living in Serbia, happily married, father of a daughter studying tourism in the University of Novi Sad, and foster parent of one local cat that considers itself a dog 🙂 I’m a passionate traveler in love with trekking and the wonders of nature, and an excited foodie looking for the best tastes of the Earth.
New technologies and challenges, unfamiliar experiences, places and food, more knowledge, endless excellent books, series and no stops in discovering the world around us – it’s the way of living I prefer.
How did you get involved in software engineering?
Before getting my first computer at the age of 16, I was planning to become a lawyer. But that old and heavy machine with slow dial-up internet blocking the telephone for hours, and making my parents crazy, changed my future. Computer clubs, Doom and Starcraft, computer science studies at University, working with old versions of PHP and Python in advertisements for Israel, and antivirus projects with Ukrainians – that was the start of a 20 year long exciting journey of software engineering.
And even death is only the beginning, as my favorite “The Mummy” movie states, so I’m planning to code and debug happily ever after.
Why did you join LibLynx?
The passion and dedication of LibLynx in delivering the best engineering solutions that better fit the needs of the knowledge industry, their long-term relationships with employees and clients, politeness and developing experience, and aim to bring knowledge to the masses – I just couldn’t lose the opportunity to join these guys and make the world better!
